ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN, MAINTENANCE II Test Area A-22, Eglin AFB, FL Open Position Request Number: R-54-26 CLASSIFICATION: Electronics Technician Maintenance II; CBA Rate $36.92/Hr GRADE: Non-Exempt; Regular Full-time LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL - On Site POSTING DATE: Internal Applicants Only (05/12/2026) / External Applicants (05/19/2026) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Electronics Technician, Maintenance maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, laser, electro-optics, infrared, telemetry, and communications systems, and navigational aids); personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices. The successful incumbent applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. WORK ENVIRONMENT: May perform work assignments in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. Some tasks and assignments such as the installation; operation; and maintenance of mobile systems, aircraft systems, or range instrumentation will require work performance in outside environments in heat or cold with exposure to the conditions typical of various work locations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required to climb, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, pull, or carry heavy items.
