Job summary

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) at Eglin AFB seeks an Electronics Technician, Maintenance II to join the Remote-Control Targets team.

You will assist in design, installation, inspection, maintenance and operation of remote-control systems on marine vessels, weapons targets and vehicles. Candidates must have an associates degree in electronics and at least three years of related experience, be able to pass a pre-employment physical, and obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or equivalent training with 3+ years of related duties.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, alignment and operation of complex electronics.
• Understanding of computer-controlled instrumentation and analog/digital interfaces.
• Knowledge of RF components and ground-based radar subsystems is desirable.
• Willingness to wear PPE and pass pre-employment physical and tests.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, installation, maintenance, repair and operation of remote-control systems on various craft and vehicles.
• Troubleshoot circuits to card- and component-level with minimal guidance.
• Receive assignments and work under supervision, or independently as needed.
• Use range communications software for GPS control and data collection/analysis.
• Perform pre-mission checkouts and verify control signals and telemetry.
