Job summary

Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX) is recruiting for an Electronics Technician, Maintenance based at Langley AFB, Virginia. The role involves installing, testing, and repairing ACMI/ACTS electronic systems, following schematics and blueprints, with a focus on reliability and mission readiness.

The position requires a US citizen and a Secret clearance or ability to obtain one. Candidates should be prepared for rotating shifts and site-based, on-site work in a defense environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills for electronic systems used in ACMI/ACTS.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings and diagrams and apply corrections.
  • Experience with maintenance of military aviation electronic equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair to restore Ground Subsystems to full functionality.
  • Prepare data for debriefings and assist with debriefings.
  • Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data.
  • Maintain Range Remote Units and associated communications equipment.

Combat Training Services (CTS), a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), an Alaska Native Corporation, is currently recruiting for the position of Electronics Technician, Maintenance. This position is located at Langley AFB, Virginia, and is a Full Time position. This position will report to the Site Manager.

This position, located at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, provides technical support for Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) operations across a wide array of aircraft and missions. Typical duties include: laying out, fabricating, and assembling electronic components following predetermined methods and criteria; adjusting, repairing, and modifying systems, working from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and diagrams; repairing and/or replacing malfunctioning units as directed; setting up and operating standard electronic testing equipment; using hand powered and unpowered tools and simple machine power tools to fabricate electronic components; and performing related job duties as required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Schedule and Perform periodic, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment to including ancillary equipment.
  • Respond to notification of malfunctioning systems, including applicable Live Monitor functions; troubleshoot and repair to restore the Ground Subsystems to full functionality.
  • Prepare Data for debriefings and assist with debriefings
  • Gathers information from users/computer operators and defines systemic problems
  • Guides users in formulating requirements advises alternative solutions
  • Analyzes and resolves issues and conducts feasibility studies to recommend data processing, additional programming, procedural, hardware, or software changes
  • Provides recommendations for optimal approach and develops design for new projects
  • Accomplish pod transport, loading and unloading on all relevant aircraft
  • Performance periodic, preventive, and corrective AS/Pod maintenance
  • Perform system installation, preparation for use and reshipment
  • Maintain Range Remote Units and all associated communications equipment
  • Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
  • Identify and report product quality/materials deficiencies
  • Perform equipment status reporting, as well as maintenance data/job documentation for all maintenance actions
  • Prepare and deliver all reports and required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with CTS Quality Control and Safety Programs
  • Other duties as assigned by the site manager

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma and successful completion of an accredited Technical Apprentice Program in Electronics – or – equivalent military training (highly desired)
  • Associate’s degree in Electronics and experience at the Craftsman level highly desirable
  • Three (3) years Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) or Air Combat Training Systems (ACTS) experience highly desired - NOT DISQUALIFYING
  • Six (6) years’ experience at the journeyman level is highly desired
  • Flight line experience highly desired – NOT DISQUALIFYING
  • This job requires the physical capability to lift, maneuver, and carry ACTS pods in a variety of environments, including shop, warehouse, bay, and flight-line

Additional Requirements

  • US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required
  • Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license
  • Work hours will be based on the flying schedule; rotating shifts may be required
  • Must meet requirements for a flight-line driving permit
  • Ability to read, analyze, and apply knowledge of both electrical and mechanical schematics

Competencies

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate basic and some advanced technical knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and devices, interpret circuit diagrams to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents, as well as demonstrate knowledge in the use of test instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltage and frequency meters, and computer control equipment and analyzers
