Job summary

JW Speaker is seeking an electronics technician to program, setup, and run SMT and through-hole equipment, as well as troubleshoot process issues. The role supports new product development and coordinates fixture ordering and tooling with strict adherence to standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in electronics, ability to read schematics, and knowledge of simple circuit testing. A related associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics preferred.
• Ability to read schematics diagrams.
• 1–3 years SMT equipment experience (set up, running, troubleshooting).
• 1–3 years experience with simple testing of circuit boards.
• SMT programming desirable.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup and run surface mount and through hole equipment (screen printer, pick & place, re-flow).
• Troubleshoot machine set up and workmanship problems (process control).
• New Product Development liaison for electronics.
• Order fixtures and program equipment; develop process parameters.
• Back up Team Leader in their absence; follow all department and company standards.
• Train and mentor; process optimization; reduce setup time; utilize simple automation.

Education

• Associate degree in electronics is a plus

Experience

• SMT programming desirable
