Job summary

Default Brand is seeking an Electronics Technician Level II for the 2nd shift in Germantown, WI. This full-time, on-site role covers setup and tear down of feeders, operation of BD/BM/BS SMT lines, and visual inspection of PCB assemblies.

You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot boards, follow process sheets, and report discrepancies. IPC standards knowledge is a plus; experience with Universal Instruments is welcome.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read basic Process Sheets and Assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down of feeders.
• Operate BD/BM/BS surface mount lines equipment (screen printer, adhesive machine, pick and place, re-flow oven).
• Perform manual component placement and visual inspections of through-hole/surface mount components.
• Report discrepancies to Group Lead or Electronics Technician A and maintain Job-By-Job Chart tracking.
• Perform basic machine maintenance as required.

Description

1st Priority – Daily Execution

• Perform set up and tear down of feeders
• Set-up and operation on BD, BM, BS surface mount lines equipment including (screen printer, adhesive machine, pick and place, re-flow oven)
• Ability to perform manual component placement and visual inspections of thru-hole/surface mount components
• Must be able to follow PCB assemblies through process, standard, and ability to report discrepancies to Group Lead or Electronics Technician A
• Ability to maintain accurate Job-By-Job Chart tracking
• Perform basic machines maintenance as required

2nd Priority – People and Process Development

• Perform Depaneling methods, testing, EOL programming, and packaging as standards
• Ability to troubleshoot and rework PCB
• Working knowledge of IPC standards (certification a plus)
• Operate AOI Machine
• Ability to troubleshoot surface mount lines equipment
• Perform basic steps of Electronics Technician A level

3rd Priority – Continuous Improvement – Reduce Cost

• Surface problems and solve problems utilizing the Just Do It board
• Participate in PDCA teams
• Follow 5s standards everywhere

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read and understand basic Process Sheet and Assembly drawings

Experience

• Prior electronics experience preferred (knowledge PCB repair and rework of fine pitch a plus)
• Universal Instruments experience highly preferred
