General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an Electronics Technician III to support AFCENT communications on customer site in Chantilly, VA.

You will perform electronics repair, maintenance, installation and checkout to ensure system readiness and mission success. Required eight years of practical experience, including supervision and shop practices; formal electronics training (high school diploma or GED plus Technical School, military school electronics, or a four‑year electronics

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of practical experience in electronics repair, maintenance, installation and checkout.
• Two (2) years of supervision and shop practices experience.
• Three (3) years of electronics repair and installation; six (6) years in specific projects.

Responsibilities

• Electronics repair, maintenance, installation and checkout on customer site.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Required Experience: Eight (8) years of practical experience
• Required Technical Skills: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
• Security Clearance Level: SECRET
• Required Skills and Abilities: Supervision, shop practices, electronics repair, and installation
• Location: On Customer Site
• US Citizenship Required

High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.

Experience:

Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout. Two (2) years of experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices. Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair and installation, and six (6) years of experience with the "Specific Projects".
