GDIT is hiring an Electronic Technician to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) on site at Point Mugu, CA. You will work in the Marine Corps Spectrum Integration Lab (MCSIL) on hardware like the Intrepid Tiger II, fabricating, testing and maintaining avionics systems.

The role requires reading drawings, conducting troubleshooting, and using high-end test equipment. US citizenship and a current Secret clearance are required to start.

Responsabilidades

• Read/interprete mechanical and electrical drawings to fabricate/test/maintain weapon/avionics systems.
• Troubleshoot using standard and unique diagnostic test equipment.
• Construct, repair, splice, solder wiring and replace connectors per mil-spec standards.
• Troubleshoot system failures with standard test equipment and military gear for Electronic Combat Systems.
• Develop and implement processes to simplify production items and improve accuracy.
• Set up, calibrate and test RF equipment and components to spec.
• Perform precision measurements on equipment such as spectrum analyzers, RF generators, and oscilloscopes.

Job Description:

Come Join Our Team! GDIT is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies (i.e. defense). We are currently looking for an Electronic Technician to join our winning team. The individual hired for this position will provide support for our government customer, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) on site in Point Mugu, CA. This is your opportunity to work in a technically advanced, positive, and productive environment in the Marine Corps Spectrum Integration Lab (MCSIL) working on hardware such as Intrepid Tiger II.

Required Skills:

• Experience reading/interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings for the purpose of fabricating/testing/maintaining weapon/avionics systems.
• Experience conducting troubleshooting using standard and unique diagnostic test equipment
• Experience constructing, repairing, splicing, soldering wiring, replacing coaxial, USB, Ethernet, and electrical connectors per mil spec standards per established standards.
• Experience troubleshooting system failures using standard test equipment i.e. Fluke meter, Oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzer, as well as US military test equipment for Electronic Combat Systems.
• Experience developing/executing established processes to simplify difficult to manufacture production line items, streamlined procedures, to ensure accuracy and completeness of products and implemented solutions
• Experience setting up, calibrating and testing RF equipment and components to compare against manufactures specifications.
• Experience using precision measurements on a variety of electronic equipment such as Agilent series Spectrum Analyzer (26.5GHz), RF Signal Generator (20GHz), Signal Source Analyzer (7 GHz), Noise Figure Analyzer (26.5 GHz), Dual Channel Power Meter, Digital Oscilloscope (500 MHz).

The likely salary range for this position is $92,650 - $125,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
