Job summary

M.C. Dean seeks an Electronics Technician 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will perform on-site installations, maintenance, and testing of electronic security equipment across federal, local, and commercial clients.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for coordinating with project teams and customers. The role requires a HS diploma or GED and 4+ years in electronics installation, with preferred certifications and experience in IDS/ACS/CCTV

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Time management and organization to meet deadlines and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment and systems.
• Configures hardware and software; tests systems for proper operation.
• Analyzes complete drawing packages to assess constructability and ensure accuracy.
• Ensures safety and compliance with NEC standards; follows project safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW).
• Communicates effectively with project teams and customers; documents field conditions and feedback.
