Job summary

Micro-Control-Company in Arden Hills, MN is seeking a full-time Electronics Test Technician to support the Module Assembly and Test Department. You will troubleshoot electronic systems, perform soldering of PCB components, conduct routine tests, update software and firmware, and write/update test procedures to ensure product quality.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Electronics, 3 years of relevant PCB testing experience, and proficiency with oscilloscopes, DVMs, and spectrum

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years relevant experience testing and troubleshooting PCBs to the component level.
• Knowledge of oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analyzers and other test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.
• Troubleshoot electronic systems to identify root causes and remedies.
• Solder/rework PCB components and reflow as needed.
• Observe equipment during testing to detect issues like loose parts or shorts.
• Test PCBs after repair and adjust as necessary.
• Record repair work on work orders and keep workspace clean.
• Collaborate with team members on technical requirements.
• Write and update test procedures.
• Update software and firmware as needed.
• Conduct routine engineering tests and experimental testing to solve problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
