is seeking an Electronics Technician in Raleigh, NC to perform routine and non-routine maintenance, testing, programming, and repair of security, fire alarm, PA, and sprinkler control systems in a large commercial complex. You will read complex schematics and controls drawings, maintain service documentation, provide guidance to junior technicians, respond to service calls and emergencies, and support installation and upgrades of major fire alarm systems from brands such as

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with minimum 4+ years of experience working with security systems, fire alarm systems, PA systems, and sprinkler control systems in commercial facilities.
• State of North Carolina Security Alarm License, highly preferred.
• NICET II certification, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance, testing, programming, and repair of the Intrusion Detection and other Security and PA systems such as CCTV, intercoms, interface with ePACS Access Systems, and duress stations.
• Proficient with meters and testing equipment appropriate for this work.
• Able to read and understand complex schematics and controls systems drawings.
• Conduct detailed inspections and thorough testing of fire alarm and suppression systems per NFPA requirements, identifying and resolving complex issues.
• Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and repair intricate problems in fire alarm systems, including VESDA systems and interconnected components such as elevators, HVAC shutdown, fire doors, and smoke control.
