Arcata Associates, Inc. seeks an Electronics Technician II to support the Aeronautical Tracking Facility (WBS 150).
You will operate real-time systems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborate with Field Service Engineers at the Dryden site for NASA Armstrong tracking hardware. Requirements include an electronics-focused associate degree or equivalent, valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and proficiency with MS Office and English literacy.
Electronics Technician I is accountable to the Aeronautical Tracking Facility (ATF) Work Group Lead (WGL) for the overall support of in-scope work in WBS 150. This includes providing technical support to ensure timely completion of work while meeting or exceeding quality standards. This position receives technical guidance from the ATF WGL and senior coworkers such as the Field Service Engineer. Work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
ElectronicsTechnician II: Requires at least 3 years of related work experience
Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or a similar field. In lieu of the associate's degree, High School graduate or High School equivalency and completion of formal training in an accredited commercial or military electronics school.
Range environment with work at remote locations, prolonged sitting while using the computer and the telephone, constant use of sight abilities, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness. Ability to work extended and flexible hours including weekends. Ability to pass a heavy equipment physical exam required to operate motorized equipment such as forklifts, bucket lifts and platform personnel lifts. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Work location is in a desert environment, and employees are in contact with various desert wildlife. Occasional travel is required.
