Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on sub-assemblies and mainframe vacuum systems. You will work independently or in a team, apply mechanical techniques, and assist senior technicians with verification testing.

The role requires an AS in electronics, a high school diploma, 2+ years' experience, and will involve a Front Nights shift (B) on Sundays through Tuesdays and alternating Saturdays, 7pm–7:12am. Travel 0–25%.

Qualifications

• AS technical degree in electronics or Military electronics certificate preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years' work-related experience/training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance work.
• Work independently and in a team environment when performing physically demanding technical tasks.
• Apply mechanical techniques and cleaning procedures to rebuild sub-assemblies and mainframe vacuum systems.
• Use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment.
• Assist senior technicians in verification testing of equipment after PM completion.
• Utilize training materials and certification requirements to meet personal improvement goals.
• Use process measurement data as a measure of quality of PM work.
• Contribute to development and optimization of maintenance schedules.
