Job summary

G&W Electric Co. seeks an Electronic Technician I to assemble, troubleshoot, connect and test electronic assemblies of basic to moderate complexity.

You will follow mechanical and electrical drawings to assemble junction boxes and controls, install tested assemblies, and act as an inspector during final checkout. Responsibilities include interfacing with manufacturing, diagnosing issues, and documenting actions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret drawings and bills of material.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and test.
• Knowledge of wiring diagrams, interconnect drawings, ladder logic, schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble junction boxes, electronic controls, and other assemblies per mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Install and test completed electronic assemblies.
• Inspect and test electronics for final checkout.
• Troubleshoot assemblies for production and aftermarket support.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
