Job summary

The Panther Group is seeking an Assistant Electronics Technician to repair, modify, and replace components on electronic circuit boards and STB units. Onsite assessment includes a soldering skills test before onboarding, with a shift from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Candidates should be proficient in surface-mount and thru-hole soldering, operate electronic test equipment, and read basic schematics. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and precise data entry.

Qualifications

• Previous soldering and de-soldering experience.
• Ability to perform both SMT and thru-hole soldering.
• Ability to operate electronic test equipment.
• Basic ability to read electronic schematics.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills and accurate data entry.
• Ability to complete a pre-onboarding soldering skills test.

Responsibilities

• Repair, modify, and replace components on electronic circuit boards and STB units.
• Perform surface-mount and thru-hole soldering and de-soldering.
• Troubleshoot electronic equipment and identify issues at the component level.
• Operate test and repair equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, volt meters, soldering equipment, and BGA equipment.
• Read and interpret basic electronic schematics.
• Maintain quality and productivity standards.
• Enter completed unit information into computer systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
