Job summary

APTIM is seeking an electronics technician to analyze, troubleshoot, test, repair, calibrate and rework select items in radiation detection, water quality, optical survey, communications or air monitoring instrumentation. The role supports project success and requires attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

The candidate will work with calibrators, multimeters and oscilloscopes, read manuals, and document results.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree or military/technical experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and computer use.
• Able to read manuals and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Test, service and calibrate electronic, electrical, and optical components and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment with limited supervision.
• Perform quality inspections to verify functionality and appearance.
• Follow prescribed procedures and specifications.
• Assist in developing related methods, processes and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and input data into databases.
• Maintain facilities to meet professional standards.
• Identify parts to maintain inventory and perform routine repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of functionality and repeatability.
• Provide technical support using current technology as required.
• Process equipment fleet orders and related duties.
