Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of SES, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services—including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command & control systems—for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

In this role you will install and maintain electronic security systems, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct inspections, evaluations, and inventory.

  • Lead teams on large, complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Lead and document daily toolbox talks, ORMs, and safety audits.
  • Install and maintain equipment at local and global levels per design packages.
  • Program and install head‑end equipment for access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate both systems and hardware locally and globally.
  • Lead on‑site software commissioning and testing.
  • Lead inspections, evaluations, and inventory; perform take‑off project drawings and create documentation.
  • Document and track RFIs.
  • Assist with design feedback.
  • Document daily reports and project progress.
  • Communicate project and team‑member issues or concerns to management.
  • Create and manage project schedule and integrate IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
  • Forecast and manage project labor hours; communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
  • Guide and mentor technicians.
Qualifications
  • Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship. No clearance is required.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to use company vehicle when required.
  • Acceptable driving record per company policy.
Education
  • High‑school diploma or GED.
  • Military electronics training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or graduation from an accredited electronics technician program or electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience.
Required Progressive Experience
  • 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance across multiple systems and customer programs.
  • 3+ years focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Time‑management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Willigness to travel 50% of the time.
Desired / Advantageous Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows OS). Experience in installation of these systems is advantageous.

Abilities

  • Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Work at heights up to 60 feet; climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.

Pay Range

USD $36.00 – $60.00 per hour.
