Position Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. You will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual systems, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

1. Perform technical tasks within field operations, including on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.
2. Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test systems, and provide technical support to customers.
3. Ensure the functionality and reliability of various technologies.
4. Enforce safety protocols and analyze project drawings for constructability and accuracy.
5. Verify charges in timesheets and execute installation and maintenance activities efficiently.
6. Manage tools and equipment, including inspections and inventory.
7. Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to project planning and execution.
8. Install system raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and mounting hardware, ensuring grounding and NEC standards compliance.
9. Terminate, test, and configure electronic devices, network, and IT equipment.
10. Maintain clear communication with project teams, demonstrating dedication and punctuality.
11. Collaborate effectively with team members and clients, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
12. Survey and document existing field conditions, offering feedback and recommendations.

Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Requirement: Applicants must undergo a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information.

Education: HS diploma or GED; Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 hours).

Experience:

• At least 4 years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience across multiple systems and customer programs.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems, and related technologies.
• Graduation from an electronics technician or electrical apprenticeship program.
• 3+ years focused in electronic security systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
