Job summary

Envisioneering, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Technician to support R&D for EW technologies and prototype development. You will perform tests, troubleshoot electronics, and help create assembly drawings and test procedures.

Minimum 2–5 years in electronics operation with RF knowledge; familiar with LabVIEW, CAD drawings, and common test instruments. Security clearance required; two-locations travel with occasional DC/MD schedule.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in electronics operation, troubleshooting and repair.
• In-depth knowledge of RF, radar, basic electronics, and circuits.
• Developing, programming, installing, testing, optimizing and troubleshooting electronic systems.
• Ability to create and interpret analog, digital, and RF schematics and assembly drawings using CAD software.
• Experience with lab and field testing; capable of using DMMs, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D for EW-related technologies and prototype development.
• Contribute to design and development of EW systems for ships against anti-ship missiles.
• Write Test Documents and Procedures; analyze results from tests.
• Travel between Chesapeake Beach, MD and Washington, DC area for field tests as needed.

Envisioneering, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Technician to fill a direct support position. This person will perform research and development covering a range of technical areas that support the development of next-generation, Electronic Warfare (EW) related technologies and the design and development of prototypes of EW systems designed to protect surface ships, especially against attack by anti-ship missiles. This position will provide candidates experience within cutting edge Electronic Warfare systems development environment. We seek individuals who are well rounded, with cross discipline skills, and willing to jump in and help make programs successful.

Job Requirements

Minimum Skills/ Qualifications:

• Have 2 - 5 years of experience in the field of electronics operation, troubleshooting and repair.
• In-depth knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF), radar, basic electronics, and circuits.
• Developing, programming, installing, testing, optimizing and troubleshooting electronic systems.
• Conduct laboratory and field-testing.
• Ability to create and interpret analog, digital, and RF schematic and assembly drawings using commercial CAD software.
• Ability to operate and program common Test Instrumentation including DMMs, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Thermal Chambers, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers and other RF Equipment.
• Well versed in analog, digital and RF Electronics Assembly Techniques (coaxial cable, waveguide, surface mount soldering and rework, miniature mechanical assembly), and hardware installation, repair, test and alignment.
• Experience using all common hand and cable crimp tools and drill press.
• Experienced in the design and construction of electromechanical Test Fixtures to include custom circuit cards and rack mount assemblies.
• Demonstrated experience writing Test Documents and Procedures.
• Experience collecting and analyzing Test Data.
• Familiarity with LabView graphical programming language.
• Must possess intermediate skills using Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) business software.
• Knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles desirable.
• Time is split between two locations. Approximate split: Chesapeake Beach, MD 90% / Washington D.C. area 10% . (Alternate schedule with 3 days in D.C. / 2 days in Chesapeake Beach may be possible for the right candidate.)

TRAVEL: Willing and able to travel and conduct field tests (estimate <10%)

E ducation : Associates degree in electronics technology or an equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.

SALARY RANGE: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
