Job summary

California's Great America is seeking an entry to mid-level Electronics Technician for part-time work. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing sound systems and electronic components throughout the Park.

The position requires the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and offers perks such as paid training and free park admission. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of electrical knowledge and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED obtained.
  • Must have at least 2 years knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Basic understanding of electronics circuit design and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Repair background music system.
  • Monitor and maintain in-park public address system.
  • Repair microphones and other audio equipment as assigned.
  • Inspect and maintain electronic park-wide systems.
  • Install audio/video equipment and lighting as needed.
  • Set up and tear down equipment for events.

Job description

Overview:

Salary details based on experience: $25/hr.

Job Status/Type: Part-time

Position Level: Entry to Mid-Level

Shift/Schedule Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

The electronics technician installs, maintains and repairs sound systems and other electrical components throughout the Park. Provides technical assistance in general electronic maintenance as necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Repair background music system.
  • Monitor and maintains in-park public address system.
  • Responsible for repairs and general maintenance to all equipment , as needed.
  • Repair microphones and other audio equipment as assigned.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain systems of electronic mobile games park wide.
  • Record speech, music, and other sounds recording equipment.
  • Convert video and audio record to digital formats for editing.
  • Install audio and video equipment and lighting equipment as needed.
  • Set up and tear down equipment for events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Vocational training preferred.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 250 ft.
  • Must have at least 2 years knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Must have a basic understanding of electronics circuit of design installation and maintenance components related to the electrical field.
  • Must possess good communication skills, both oral and written.
