Job summary

TAE Technologies, Inc. in Southern California seeks an entry- to mid-level assembler to participate in building electrical and electromechanical systems for fusion-related hardware.

You will wire, cabling, racks, and instrumentation, and help verify builds against specifications. You'll interpret schematics and CAD models, perform testing and troubleshooting, and contribute to build procedures and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on assembly experience with hand tools and measurement devices.
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics or wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts, tools, and assembly processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow structured procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in assembling electrical and electromechanical systems (wiring, cabling, racks, instrumentation).
  • Interpret schematics, BOMs, and CAD models to execute precise builds.
  • Perform functional testing, inspection, and basic troubleshooting of assembled units.
  • Develop and improve assembly procedures, work instructions, and build documentation.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to resolve build issues and drive improvements.
  • Assist in the preparation of molds and forms.
  • Mix and pour epoxy resins into molds for transformer components, ensuring proper degassing and vacuum pressure.
  • Inspect finished castings for defects and ensure compliance with specs.
  • Maintain organized documentation, labeling, and configuration of hardware systems.

About The Role
  • Participate in the assembly of electrical and electromechanical systems, including wiring, cabling, racks, and instrumentation
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and CAD models to execute precise builds
  • Perform functional testing, inspection, and basic troubleshooting of assembled units
  • Develop and improve assembly procedures, work instructions, and build documentation
  • Collaborate with design engineers to resolve build issues and drive design-for-assembly improvements
  • Assist in the preparation of molds and forms
  • Mix and pour epoxy resins into molds for transformer coils and components, ensuring proper degassing and vacuum pressure
  • Inspect finished castings for defects, such as voids or cracks, ensuring compliance with design specifications
  • Maintain organized documentation, labeling, and configuration of hardware systems
About You
  • Experience with hand tools, measurement equipment, or assembly work
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics or wiring diagrams
  • Ability to quickly learn technical concepts, tools, and assembly processes
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow structured procedures

Physical Requirements And Work Environment
  • Lifting will be required – up to 50–60 lbs.

Compensation: $35.00–$40.00 per hour, may include additional elements depending on position offered (non‑Sr., Sr.)
