Job description

Department: Department of Veterans Affairs

This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of the electronic systems within the facility and satellite clinics. Performs design, installation, maintenance, and administrative duties on systems as required. Works in all areas of the medical facility supporting both patient care and ancillary services.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled (emergency) maintenance on systems to ensure they are operating properly, calibrated, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards Seek ways to reduce failures, eliminate safety hazards, and enhance accuracy and reliability Detect, analyze, isolate, and correct issues; and where applicable develop and recommend improvements Apply theories, techniques, and applications of digital electronics Provide guidance on electronic system interoperability, connectivity, and issues related to interconnected systems Manage medical center wide projects and oversee/inspect work of contractors Recommend new or alternate systems to resolve an existing issues Serves as technical advisor and consultant to equipment users, hospital equipment committee, and hospital leadership in the evaluation and purchase of new systems to meet current and projected needs of the medical center Prepare written briefs, white papers and status reports Work Schedule: Sunday- Thursday, 5:00am-1:00pm and Tuesday - Saturday, 5:00am-1:00pm (subject to change based on facility needs) Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
