FRSTeam CrossTimbers DFW is seeking an Electronics Restoration Technician to inspect, clean, test, and restore electronics damaged by fire, smoke, or water. You will document findings, disassemble/reassemble gear, and ensure safe handling throughout the restoration process.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with electronics repair, circuit boards, and diagnostic tools, plus strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset.

Position Overview

The Electronics Restoration Technician is responsible for inspecting, documenting, cleaning, testing, and restoring electronic equipment affected by fire, smoke, water, and other environmental damage.

The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment. Previous experience in electronics repair, computer hardware, or related technical fields is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate electronic equipment for damage, contamination, and restoration potential.


• Professionally clean and restore electronics affected by smoke, soot, dust, and other contaminants.


• Disassemble and reassemble electronic equipment when necessary for proper cleaning and restoration.


• Perform basic diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to determine equipment functionality.


• Document equipment condition, identifying information, testing results, and restoration procedures.


• Photograph, inventory, label, and track customer electronics throughout the restoration process.


• Identify equipment that may be unsafe, damaged beyond repair, or require specialized evaluation.


• Safely operate electronic cleaning equipment, tools, and restoration systems.


• Assist with the careful packing, handling, transportation, and storage of electronic equipment.


• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.

Restoration industry experience is not required. Training will be provided to candidates with the right technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
