Job summary

Actalent in Burlington, WI is seeking an Electronics Technician to support the Engineering department from concept through production, including PCB assembly, component testing, prototype builds, and system integration.

You will solder and test electronic components, take measurements (temp, voltage, frequency, duty cycle, TRTF, current, power), analyze results, calibrate parts, and assist with production while upholding ISO quality standards in a fully onsite, contract-to-hire role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or related STEM experience.
• Excellent hands-on soldering skills and familiarity with testing procedures.
• Strong reading of schematics and technical drawings.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (or related tool for drawings).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently or in a team.

• Maintain technical competency and stay current on new technology and trends.

The Electronics Technician will support the Engineering department in all aspects of printed circuit board assembly from concept through production including component testing, prototype building, safety testing and system integration.

• Solder, repair, and test electronic components and circuit board products.
• Take repetitive measurements of performance at various parameters: temperature, voltage, frequency, duty cycle, TRTF (time rise/time fall), current, power.
• Analyze and report on results.
• Calibrate parts.
• Conduct phase noise testing.
• Condition crystals.
• Assist with Failure Analysis.
• Follow written directions on the Work Order and Drawings.
• Take verbal instructions from Engineering staff.
• Assist with Production duties as needed.
• Maintain high standards in quality to meet ISO requirements.
• Maintain technical competency and remain current on new technology and trends in the industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Associate degree in Electronics or related STEM experience.
• Good understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and laboratory best practices.
• Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word) and AutoCAD (or related program for accessing drawings).
• Must be very detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• 1+ Years of related experience preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
