Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an Electronics Technician Maintenance II to support surface ship systems. You will fabricate, test, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade components per engineering instructions, reading schematics, following procedures, and ensuring safety on board ships.

Military experience is valued but not required. The role emphasizes complex diagnostics, data collection, and collaboration with teams in a technical lab and on ships, with occasional travel and strict

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and training.
• 1+ years of related experience fabricating, maintaining and repairing electronic components; component-level troubleshooting preferred.
• Military experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and mechanical equipment to component level.
• Generate Test and Inspection Reports documenting testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Review and comment on system test procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant technologies and participate in special projects as required.
