You will perform complex technical functions in support of engineering activities including set up, operations, maintenance, modifications, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models and/or specialized test equipment.
Repair or modify cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in the associated test and development laboratories.
Build, repair or modify complex cables.
Be Proficient with through hole and surface mount components. IPC Certification is a plus.
Work from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
Conduct complex engineering tests to collect design data or assist in general research work.
Diagnose and isolate equipment and system malfunctions that fail to respond to standard corrective measures.
Assist in the development of electronic equipment.
You may provide guidance and leadership work to less experienced technicians.
Use engineered drawings, statements of work, and technical manuals to determine requirements for cable systems.
Prepare and install distribution equipment and terminate tip cables on main distribution frames.
