Horton, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Technician 2 for our Britton, South Dakota location. This is a 1st shift role, typically Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with occasional overtime. Pay starts at $28.47 per hour and progresses with experience.

Responsibilities include maintaining electronic controls, supporting robotics and facility systems, and assisting with equipment installation and upgrades. A 2-year electronics degree is preferred, with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree in electronics or related field is preferred, plus 3 years of experience.
• If no degree, 7 years of related work experience will be considered.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Mechanical aptitude is important.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provides 24-hour service to maintenance and production to restore machines quickly.
• Maintains records of maintenance activities for electronic controls.
• Assists with installation of new equipment with vendors and setup.
• Supports engineering by drafting specs, outlining procedures, and procuring components.
• Modifies equipment with upgrades including PLCs and programming.
• Collaborates with vendors on new products for facilities and robots.
