Horton, Inc. in Britton, SD is seeking a Receiver for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3:30 pm–2:00 am) with overtime as needed. You will move material, stock storage, and prepare shipments while maintaining accurate records. A high school diploma and forklift eligibility are required, plus US work authorization.

The role emphasizes verifying incoming parts, data entry, and coordinating with production to meet daily targets. A shift premium applies for 2nd shift, with solid benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent (GED).
• Six months of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to obtain an industrial power truck license.
• Valid drivers license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

• Receives parts delivered to the facility by common carrier or other means and verifies quantity and condition.
• Enters receiving data into the business system to document availability and location of parts.
• Scans packing slips and assigns into interdock system with expiration date.
• Moves material to storage or staging areas using material handling equipment.
• Forwards received parts to second vendors as required and verifies quantities.
• Gathers parts for production from pick lists and checks parts numbers and serials.
• Communicates with production to coordinate timely delivery of parts.
• Monitors and fills Independent Demand orders and delivers to the proper areas.
• Performs other duties as directed by the manager.

Overview

Horton, Inc. has an opening for a Receiver to work in our Britton, SD location. This is a 2nd shift position Monday-Thursday and the work hours are 3:30 pm - 2:00 am, with overtime, as needed. Minimum pay starts at $21.39 per hour and depends on experience. There is also a shift premium for 2nd shift.

Position Summary:

Moves material between process areas and stock storage areas.Fills orders from stock to production floor.Preparesoutgoing materials and products for shipment by packaging, attaching properlabelsand completing shipping documents.Maintainsaccuratecomputer records of material received, sent toproductionor shipped.Loads orunloadstrucks using material handling equipment.Maintain kanban items.

Responsibilities

Receiving Responsibilities:

• Receives parts delivered to the facility by common carrier, company vehiclesor other means of transportation.
  • Verifies the quantity and condition of received goods.Signs the bill ofladingif no significant shortage,overageor damage is found.
  • Enters receiving data into the Business system to document the availability and location of parts and materials for production.
  • Scans packing slips into business system and assign intointerdocksystem withexpirationdate.
• Handles material
  • Moves material to storage or staging areas (including off site safety stock locations) using material handling equipment.
• Forwards received parts to second vendors asrequired, processing all paper records, and verifying quantities.
• Using information frompick lists, gathers parts in the proper quantities for use by production.
  • Visually inspects partsin the process of handlingthem, sorting out any which are identified as defective.
  • Checks part numbers, serialnumbersand other identifying featuresin order tobe certain that the correct parts are selected.
  • Communicatesfrequentlywith production employees to coordinate delivery of parts in a manner which matchesworkflow.
  • Monitors and fills Independent Demand orders as received and delivers these orders to the proper areas.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature when caught up with orders.Specific examples include assisting stockingshelves,re-stocking returned goods.
• Provides training in work methods, procedures, and work instructionstoother employees and temporary workers.
• Performs other duties as directed by the manager.
