Arcata Associates, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to support operations for multiple systems, including scoring, ground radar, and navigational aids. The role involves routine maintenance, component replacement, and wiring tasks under detailed instructions.
The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and formal electronics training, with at least six months of experience. Strong documentation skills and ability to work with test equipment are required.
Location: Indian Springs, NV.
Supports operations and maintenance of one or more of the following systems: Scoring systems, Ground Radar, Threat Simulators/Systems, Data links, Target vehicles, Navigational Aids, and/or other systems as required.
High school graduate or high school equivalency. Completion of formal training in an accredited commercial or military electronics school. At least six months of experience operating and maintaining digital and analog electronic equipment. Working knowledge of electronic test equipment used for preventive and remedial maintenance, i.e., oscilloscopes, vector scopes, volt‑ohm meters, frequency counters and generators, logic analyzers/emulators and waveform monitors.
Basic knowledge of fabrication and assembly techniques for mechanical and electrical assemblies. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with other team members and those contacted while performing required duties. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to operate computers to input and retrieve data accurately. Ability to read, write and understand English. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Ability to climb stairs and communications towers to a height of 60 feet. Vision sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close and distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. The ability to distinguish colors is also required. Ability to travel as required by the Company.
