Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to design, validate, and deliver complex research electronics for DoD and government programs.

You will architect systems, capture schematics, layout PCB, and prototype hardware in a hands-on role. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field, 1–4 years of design experience, strong communication, and willingness to travel ~5%

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 1–4 years of design experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect new electronics systems from concept through implementation.
• Develop schematics for analog, digital and mixed-signal applications.
• Model and simulate circuit performance.
• Prototype, build, test and debug hardware using lab equipment.
• Write detailed technical reports on designs and test results.
• Support technical teams on field test activities when needed.
