Job summary

Cantos Ventures is seeking a Category Manager, Electronics in Torrance, CA, to own the electronics supply base feeding actuator, power supply, and system lines. You will set commodity strategy for PCBAs and related components and partner with engineering to ensure cost‑effective, reliable supply.

This is a high‑visibility role requiring U.S. Person status due to export controls; your work will directly impact program milestones and supplier performance across regulated electronics vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or category management for electronics.
• Experience sourcing PCBAs, connectors, power electronics, and related subsystems.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and counterfeit electronic parts avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Own category strategy and supplier selection for PCBAs, connectors, and power electronics.
• Lead sourcing for new programs from RFQ through award, negotiating terms that protect margins.
• Manage risk and develop multi-source strategies to protect production continuity.
• Collaborate with design engineering to influence part selection for cost and availability.
• Monitor tariffs, shortages, and market trends affecting cost and supply.
