Job summary

YESCO is seeking an Electronics Service Journeyman in Los Angeles, CA to install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain electronic signs and LED displays. You will work from service vehicles, job sites, or an electronics workbench as needed.

The role combines field service with in‑shop repair, demanding strong electronics knowledge, schematic reading, test equipment use, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. CDL preferred; valid DL required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Electronics preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic sign service, electronics repair, or related technical field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class A or B strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electronics theory, electrical systems, digital systems, and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain electronic message centers, LED displays, lighting systems, and related electrical equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic system failures using schematics, testing equipment, and logical troubleshooting methods.
• Test, calibrate, repair, and program electronic components, circuit boards, power supplies, and display systems.
• Operate lift equipment and service vehicles to safely access, service, and maintain signage and equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams regarding service needs, project updates, and repairs.
• Assist with training and supporting less experienced technicians and apprentices.
