Job summary

YESCO, North America’s largest sign company, seeks an Electronics Service Journeyman in Los Angeles to install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain electronic signs and LED displays. You’ll work both in the field and in-shop, ensuring high-quality workmanship and reliable sign performance.

The role demands strong electronics knowledge, reading schematics, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. A valid driver’s license is required, with CDL preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; Electronics associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic sign service or related field.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL Class A or B strongly preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience using multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain electronic signs, LED displays, lighting systems, and related electrical equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic system failures using schematics, testing equipment, and logical troubleshooting.
• Test, calibrate, repair, and program electronic components, circuit boards, power supplies, and display systems.
• Operate lift equipment and service vehicles to access, service, and maintain signage and equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams regarding service needs and updates.
• Maintain service vehicles and tools, ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
• Support shop and field operations including electronic assembly, wiring, preventive maintenance, and emergency service calls; assist with training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision.
