Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking students pursuing an associate’s degree or certificate in Electronics Technology for part-time internships to learn how to perform repairs, test and troubleshoot electronic equipment to meet production schedules and performance standards. This position will receive instructions on daily work, with duties standardized but varying day to day.

Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program (electronics).
• Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical testing and circuit analysis.
• Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly and repair on electronic components and sub-assemblies.
• Use drawings, schematics, and instructions to repair, modify, rework and re-assemble units.
• Use assembly equipment such as torque drivers, soldering irons, hand tools, presses, ovens, and baths.
• Test and troubleshoot circuits and components to meet procedures and quality standards.
• Document test results accurately and maintain safety/ISO practices.
