Overview

Electronic Service Technician, Subsite Electronics - Subsite. Subsite Electronics, located in Mt. Sterling, KY, is a division of The Toro Company. Subsite Electronics provides underground construction professionals with a comprehensive suite of electronic products, including Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) guidance equipment, utility locators, utility inspection systems, and equipment machine controls. This employee performs a variety of jobs in the Subsite Electronics repair area, primarily testing, troubleshooting, and repairing products that are sent in for repair. This includes diagnosis, parts sourcing, estimate creation, repair documentation, and interaction with Engineers, Product Support, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze information from a variety of sources, including Engineers, Operators, Dealers, BOMs, Repair History, Schematics, Engineering Change Orders, and Quality Reports.
  • Use electronics tools (pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, cutters, soldering irons, etc.) to build/repair a variety of electronic devices.
  • Use electronic equipment (oscilloscope, volt-ohm meters, frequency counters, etc.) to troubleshoot and analyze electronic circuits and correct problems.
  • Disassemble, repair, and assemble Electronics Products.
  • Establish cost estimates that may include purchased components, manufactured parts and assemblies, and labor time requirements.
  • Help write test and repair procedures.
  • Meet or exceed typical expectations for creativity, productivity, quality of work, and safety.
Qualifications
  • Have an associate degree in Electronic Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, OR equivalent formal education beyond high school; OR equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in an electrical or mechanical industry is strongly preferred.
  • This role involves independently moving 50-70 lb. equipment and frequently repositioning electronic items during repair work.
  • Have a good work record of self-motivation, judgment, and productivity, with effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and related engineering information. Experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and fixtures.
  • Be willing to work overtime or extra hours as needed.
Shift, Pay, and Sponsorship

Shift: 1st shift, 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Starting Pay: $22-23/hour, Depending on Experience
