Electronic Security Technician I, entry level technical position responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and support of electronic security systems across the Johns Hopkins enterprise. These systems include access control devices, CCTV cameras, NVRs/VMS, intercoms, panic alarm systems, and low voltagecabling that support Public Safety.The Technician I performs routine field tasks, assists with system deployments, resolves basic hardware issues, and supports preventive maintenance efforts. More advanced programming, networking, or enterprise level diagnostics are escalated to senior or lead technicians. This role is ideal for individuals beginning a career in low voltage systems, electronics, or security technology and offers strong opportunities for skill development.
Salary Range: Minimum $27.51/hour - Maximum $48.14/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
