Job summary

The Coast Guard Exchange in Centreville, VA is seeking a Sales Clerk Leader (Electronics) to join our team. This full-time role (30-40 hrs) offers meaningful work supporting the men and women who protect our nation, with opportunities to lead the sales floor and ensure excellent customer service.

You will welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, supervise cash handling, and coordinate store operations with management. Weekend work is required and formal training is provided for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
• Must be able to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help with merchandise selection.
• Maintain product knowledge and respond quickly to customer concerns with urgency.
• Oversee operations of the sale department, may order merchandise, price and monitor stock levels.
• Communicate with HQ staff on special orders and merchandise issues at store level.
• Assist in training employees on cash register duties and front-end processes.
