Job Summary:
We are seeking an Experienced Repair Technician to join our team. This is not an entry level position. This job does require travel. Candidates must have component level soldering repair experience to be considered. BrightPipe has an extensive inventory of audio visual equipment that needs to be kept in optimal operating condition. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing various electronic devices including computers, laptops, LCD screens, and LED tiles. This position will also support and maintain internal computer systems and network infrastructure. A strong technical background is required along with attention to detail and the ability to work independently. You must also be willing to travel in support of client vents at venues across the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in computers, laptops, LCD screens, and LED tiles.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on various electronic devices.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and client interactions.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure high-quality service.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal customers as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, tools, and repair techniques.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards during repairs.
- Travel to assist other team members with setup of AV Systems
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a repair technician (3+ years preferred) specializing in computers, laptops, LCD screens, and LED tiles.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and display technologies.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in the repair of electronic devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel for on-site deployments.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, etc.) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of LED tile installation and configuration.
- Experience with electronic repair equipment – solder station, heat gun, etc…
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of networking and system integration.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods during repair work.
