Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions in Mankato, MN is hiring a Receiving Inspector for a temporary/contract role. The position offers $17.50 per hour with weekly pay and possible overtime opportunities.

You will be trained in quality inspection, records management, and compliance checks on incoming supplier products and assemblies. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and some manufacturing experience, plus the ability to read instructions and use standard measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one month of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three months’ related manufacturing assembly and machine operating experience.
• Experience reading, understanding, and accurately following written operating instructions.
• Experience using electronic devices and computing systems.
• Experience applying basic math skills such as measuring dimensions and weight.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervisor’s instructions to receive, inspect and/or audit incoming supplier products, components and assemblies, as assigned.
• Examine company records to understand specific requirements such as product size and weight, and other required quality tests.
• Inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications, Company’s quality system for compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specific standards.
• Perform inspection activities to ensure the delivered product is in conformance to documentation.
• Use inspection, testing, and measuring equipment to inspect material.
• Participate in the creation and updating of processes and work instructions to support the quality system.
• Maintain inspection and supplier quality records in a timely and accurate manner.
• Measure and record critical data for quality reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in attaining department quality, delivery, and cost goals.
