Job summary

HM Electronics Inc in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Receiving Inspector I for the 1st shift (5:30 am – 2:00 pm) on a temporary 6-month assignment. You will perform visual, close-tolerance mechanical, and electronic inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with requirements.

Responsibilities include First Article Inspections, applying IPC-610 where required, and recording inspection results. The role requires basic GD&T, use of measurement tools, and ERP system data entry; IPC 610

Qualifications

Interpret basic electro-mechanical drawings and take basic measurements with minimal supervision.
Familiar with measurement tools including CMM, calipers, micrometers and gauges.
Basic GD&T knowledge and coordinate system understanding (X/Y/Z).
Proficient in applying test methodologies and recording results accurately.
Ability to perform basic math and use ERP systems for material transactions.
Familiar with quality terms, statistics and 7 QC tools (Pareto, Fishbone, etc.).
Understanding of MS Office; IPC-610 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs basic to intermediate electro-mechanical inspections for conformance to requirements.
Identifies, reports, and quarantines non-conforming material; performs First Article Inspections.
Records test results and inspection data; supports QA processes and audits.
Applies sampling principles and external standards when required (IPC‑A‑610).
