Silvus Technologies is seeking an Electronics Quality Technician-II for a hands-on role focusing on the StreamCaster™ MANET product development. This position involves conducting inspections per IPC standards, performing electronic tests, and building custom assemblies. The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree in Electronics. Located at HQ in West Los Angeles, this fully onsite position offers an hourly rate between $29.12 and $31.20 based on experience.

Job Description

Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems, is reshaping mesh network technology for mission‑critical applications on the ground, in the air, and at sea. Its battle‑proven StreamCaster family of MANET radios and proprietary MN‑MIMO waveform provides the vital communications link for defense, law enforcement, and public safety agencies worldwide. The Electronics Quality Technician‑II reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations – Quality Control team and will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing. This is a fully onsite position, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in West Los Angeles.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced visual inspection and rework per IPC‑J‑STD 001 standards.
• Perform continuity, resistance, and voltage checks to support root cause analysis.
• Build and repair custom cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and test equipment under supervision.
• Support RMA processing by performing initial diagnostic checks on returned units.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers to identify process improvements and recurring issues.
• Document inspection results and communicate non‑conformances effectively.
• Perform other related duties as representative of above responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3‑4 years of electronics assembly, inspection, or rework experience; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics with 1‑2 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field.
• Proficiency in soldering equipment such as hand irons, bottom burners, and hot air stations.
• Familiarity with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply).
• Proficient in Windows‑based data entry and documentation tools.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) under IPC‑A‑610 or IPC J‑STD 001.
• Familiar with low‑voltage and RF PCB assemblies.
• Experience supporting R&D or prototype environments.
• Knowledge of ESD controls, calibration tracking, and safety procedures.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
• Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves, kneel or squat to access lower shelves, lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving shipments, and walk or move within labs.

Compensation

$29.12 – $31.20 per hour. The pay range is based on market research and may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
