Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a hands-on Product Safety Test Engineer to support safety testing, certification, and regulatory compliance for consumer electronics. You will conduct evaluations, author CB Reports, and work with engineering teams through the product development lifecycle.

The role requires expertise in IEC/EN/UL/CSA standards, strong technical writing, and the ability to manage certification activities from prototype through production release.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience driving product compliance to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1, 60950, IEC 62133, IEC 60065.
• Experience conducting product safety certifications and authoring CB Reports.
• Experience executing safety testing of consumer electronics under the CB Scheme.
• Strong understanding of safety test equipment, laboratory procedures, and certification requirements.
• Experience working with certification agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Strong technical writing skills with experience preparing and submitting compliance documentation.
• Proven ability to work independently while contributing within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute product safety testing and compliance evaluations for consumer electronics.
• Drive compliance activities related to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1, 60950, IEC 62133, IEC 60065.
• Author CB Reports and support product certifications under the CB Scheme.
• Perform hands-on safety testing using lab equipment and procedures.
• Interpret international safety standards and agency requirements for compliance.
• Develop and execute test plans, document results, and prepare compliance reports.
• Submit technical documentation and test reports to certifying agencies and address feedback.
• Identify compliance risks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate.
