Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer to ensure material supply for manufacturing at the Frederick, MD site. You will work with Engineers, Project Managers, Quality, and Production to fulfill procurement needs and manage inventory and vendor relationships.

The role requires 3–5 years in electronics purchasing, ERP (Epicor) experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. It is a fully onsite position with competitive benefits and a focus on cost, schedule, and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.
• 3-5 years of purchasing experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor) and MS Office; strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase electronic components, bare boards, hardware, and subcontracting services.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Project Managers, Quality, and Production to meet procurement needs.
• Manage inventory, reverse logistics, and vendor relationships to optimize cost, scope, schedule, and quality.
