Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electronics Process Engineering Manager in Huntsville, Alabama to lead the PCBA manufacturing engineering team, improve yields and throughput, and drive process developments. This role requires a strong background in DFMs and cross-functional collaboration to meet schedule and quality targets.

The candidate should have a BS or MS in engineering with substantial experience, be eligible for a Secret Clearance, and be willing to relocate to Huntsville if needed.

Qualifications

• Requires BS with 12–15 years experience or MS with 10–13 years.
• Eligible for Secret Clearance.
• Experience in PCBA manufacturing and process development.
• DFM to optimize production efficiency.
• Resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing engineering team for PCBA assembly.
• Drive continuous improvement to yield, throughput, quality.
• Monitor KPIs like yield, cycle time, scrap.
• Perform DFM/DFA reviews for new products.
• Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Justify capital equipment for PCBA and conformal coating.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with quality, control, and design to meet schedules.
• Mentor junior engineers in process development.
• Lead onsite audits with quality engineering.
