Job summary

Jabil, a global electronics manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to develop and implement processes for circuit card assemblies using SMT and Through-Hole technology. You will create operator instructions, define process flows, and ensure processes meet quality and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years manufacturing/process engineering experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience designing and implementing processes for electronics manufacturing technology.
• Knowledge of IPC-610/J-STD-001 requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, peers and direct-labor personnel.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret customer documentation, quality requirements, and engineering changes.
• Design and develop processes to meet product and customer requirements efficiently and effectively.
• Determine process flow.
• Create operator work instructions for automated and manual processes including inspection points.
• Design, order and validate process tooling including SMT stencils, wave pallets, press-fit tooling, fixtures, etc.
• Create SMT and Through-Hole soldering profiles.
• Maintain customer BOMs.
• Ensure process parameters meet IPC-610/J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements.
• Support product launches to validate process effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Assist production in resolving Man/Method/Machine/Material/Measurement/ Environment issues.
