Job summary

SAIC is seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician at NSWC Crane, IN to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex electronic systems. The role requires interpreting technical diagrams and using test equipment, with IPC certifications and ability to obtain security clearance.

The incumbent will read schematics, perform PCB work, document results, and adhere to SOPs and safety standards while maintaining accurate records in Word/Excel on Windows.

Qualifications

• HS Graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance; interim clearance required to start.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits to the component level.
• Proficiency reading circuit schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and professional soldering stations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite on Windows.
• Ability to obtain IPC J-STD-001 certification.
• Ability to obtain IPC 7711/7721 certification.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and work from complex circuit schematics and wiring diagrams to complete assembly and repair tasks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic assemblies and systems down to the component level to identify and resolve faults.
• Set up and operate lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, soldering stations) for testing and validation.
• Strictly adhere to SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of work and document testing results using Microsoft Office on Windows.
