Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer in Oskaloosa, IA to support the repair and upgrade of complex electronic products returned from customer facilities.

This role involves setting up production lines, maintaining test systems, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced electronics environment. You will mentor technicians and collaborate with product development to resolve recurring failure trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with design or manufacturing of microprocessor- or microcontroller-based products.
• Ability to design, construct, and maintain test fixtures and test systems for MCU products.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits to component level using schematics and test equipment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup of production-line equipment for testing, repair, and upgrades.
• Design and maintain test fixtures and test systems for MCU products.
• Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned devices.
• Collect repair data and maintain repair records.
• Mentor technicians and provide technical guidance to operations.
