Job summary

STS Technical Services in West Point, Mississippi, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to improve electronics manufacturing processes, productivity, documentation and operational performance. The role develops and maintains manufacturing methods, equipment, tooling and technical documentation, and collaborates with product design teams to enhance manufacturability.

You will evaluate production requirements, implement process improvements, and support electronics assembly through life cycles.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
Electrical/Industrial/Mechanical engineering degree preferred.
At least four years of direct electronics industry experience.
Ability to read and interpret PCB routing documentation.
Experience with 3D modeling and electronics manufacturing processes.
Ability to develop and maintain manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

Estimate manufacturing costs and establish production time standards.
Recommend tooling and process requirements for new and existing product lines.
Maintain labor standards, cost estimates, capacity plans, throughput standards, floor layouts and schedules.
Perform electrical, software and mechanical design work.
Review drawings, schematics, and technical data for compliance with specifications.
Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing methods and production processes.
Support the manufacture and fabrication of electronic parts and assemblies.
Develop and monitor manufacturing processes involving assembly, soldering, coating, preparation and related equipment.
