Stfrancis is offering a summer internship focused on engineering support in Electronics Operations. You will help with continuous improvement, develop Standard Work, and design manufacturing cells, while engaging in Lean practices and problem solving.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate engineering students with strong MS Office skills and hands-on experience using CAD and manufacturing tools. This role centers on real projects and professional growth.

Responsabilidades

• Support product engineering within Electronics Operations, aiding continuous improvement and new product development.
• Develop Standard Work packages.
• Implement lean cell conversion and SPC.
• Design manufacturing cells.
• Assist in solving manufacturing problems and implementing corrective actions.
• Support Lean methodologies: standard work, point-of-use tooling, material presentation, and process improvements.
• Interface with operators, quality inspectors, and shop floor supervisors.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Support all aspects of product engineering within Electronics Operations, including continuous improvement and new product development
• Develop Standard Work packages
• Implement lean cell conversion and statistical process control
• Design manufacturing cells
• Assist in solving manufacturing problems, investigating process failures, and implementing corrective actions
• Assist in implementing Lean methodologies such as standard work, point of use tooling, material presentation, and process improvements
• Interface with production personnel including operators, quality inspectors, and shop floor supervisors

About You

• Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in an engineering discipline
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Preferred experience with CAD and hands‑on use of manufacturing tools
