Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II (2nd Shift) in Melbourne, FL to improve test yields and production throughput using LEAN principles. You will support test equipment, fixtures, and processes, driving cost reductions and test efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of manufacturing engineering in electronics testing, plus Six Sigma exposure, and strong collaboration to resolve floor issues and sustain production readiness.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in Electronics Manufacturing industry with Product Testing focus.
• Statistics experience (Parametric Process control and versed in implementation).
• Six sigma control methods exposure/experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional team efforts to improve test yields, production throughput, test capacity, and overall product quality.
• Identify component test failure trends and perform root cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
• Study performance and reliability of existing test equipment and reduce downtime.
• Analyze test approaches for cost reduction, efficiency, yields, and capacity opportunities.
• Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for staffing and test equipment needs.
