Job summary

ADTRAN, Inc. seeks a Line Quality Auditor to perform system, product, and process audits ensuring 100% accuracy in ADTRAN products. Key duties include inspecting PTH/SMT and mechanical assemblies per IPC 610, and reporting findings to ensure quality and compliance.

The role requires strong IPC knowledge, inspection tooling experience, and the ability to prepare comprehensive audit reports. Travel is not expected, and the candidate should have a high school diploma or GED with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education requirements.
• # - # years related experience required. (# range varies based on level in the table below) *
• Strong knowledge of IPC workmanship standards, inspection processes, hand assembly, soldering, and mechanical operation methods required.
• Working knowledge of magnifiers, microscopes, and inspection tooling required.
• No travel is expected in this position.

Responsibilities

• Inspect PTH, SMT, and Mechanical assemblies per IPC 610 standards.
• Perform OBA on finished products per IPC 610 standards.
• Communicate the audit scope to the responsible Manager(s).
• Examine documents, observe activities, and observe conditions in the areas of audit.
• Enter all defect areas into automated system.
• Prepare audit reports consisting of areas improved, areas effective, observations, and nonconformities noted during the audit.
• Conduct follow-up audit on corrective actions taken and prepare follow-up audit reports.
• Make recommendations on process improvements.
• Other duties as requested in order to ensure 100% quality, accuracy, and product verification.
• Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
